Not all things are created equal, just like our world-leading shelf-edge air guide
70% of the energy used by open fridges is for generating and maintaining the cold-air curtain.
Much of this cold air spills out of the cabinet and into store aisles, which has a negative impact on shoppers and the environment. Our unique, patented Aerofoil kits can be retrofit to open cabinets to help control the air curtain and reduce energy consumption by up to 25%.
Customer Case Study
A UK leading retail client seeking to achieve further energy efficiency and CO2 reduction asked us to develop an ultra fast retrofit solution to reduce the energy consumption of open fronted cabinets across over 1,200 of their UK based stores.
The client reduced energy consumption by c. 25%, and 15% central plant energy, delivering savings of around 8,783 tonnes of carbon in one year.
This successful project highlights the benefit of our unique, patented Shelf Edge Technology, which has been awarded ‘Refrigeration Product Of The Year’ and recognized in the ‘100 Engineering Ideas That Have Changed The World’ for it’s significant environmental benefits.
