Tesco

Tesco have partnered with Aerofoil Energy to help transform the energy efficiency of their refrigeration assets. Tesco have also adopted our Vor-techs technology, to deliver energy and carbon emissions savings rivalling that of fridges with glass doors.

"We continue to engage with Aerofoil Energy on extended application of their Aerofoil and Vor-techs technology in our existing and new stores."

Customer challenge

Tesco have committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2035, and to reach Net Zero across their total carbon footprint by 2050. However, according to 2019/20 data, Tesco attributed 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions from their 76.4 million total towards the running of it’s stores.

Like Aerofoils, Vor-techs Technology delivers enhanced energy and temperature improvements in refrigerated display cases - and is applicable to both existing and new-build cabinets.
